It started in 1997 while we lived in Hamburg, Germany. I had given up my career and homeland to move to Germany for my husband’s job. Finding myself at lost ends, I jumped at the chance to take a pottery course with a friend from language school. It turned out that the school was one of the top private master schools for ceramics in the country. I spent five years there, learning every part of the pottery process, and have had a private studio since 2000.
